This plugin transliterates article title and creates an alias from it. This is very useful, if you want to have aliases, which are good for SEF, and don't want to type them manually.
- Extremely easy to use: just get 2 arrays of letters.
- Extra option — transliterate titles of ALL you articles on the first save of any article.
- Eats candies for you and saves your health!
- Transliteration mode removed, since Joomla doesn't pass empty alias anymore.
- ADDED: Transliteration mode option.
- Minor bug fixes.
- Initial release.

Step 1: Installation and settings
Nothing complex here. Just install as usual and set up accordingly. The only thing you should do is find 2 arrays: one is your alphabet (input) and another one — Latin (output). If you put Latin alphabet in both input and output fields, you'll still be able to use this plugin as alias generator. Note, that number of items in both arrays should be equal. For example:
Input: a, b, c, d, e
Output: ae, be, ce, de, ee
You can always set transliteration mode in plugin settings:
- On Change — alias will be updated every time you save the article.
- On Empty — alias will be updated only if Alias field is empty. Good, when you change aliases manually and want to keep them.
Don't forget to read hints for fields in settings — they are very helpful.
