This plugin replaces ugly Joomla system messages with modal windows and colorize them depending on the message type. Window design is highly customizable and can be styled even by newcomers.

Get more information and buy extension here.

First, let me tell you this is a great plug-in!

Question: How can I change the colors of the boxes?

Thanks so much!

mbpolakovic, There's a separate CSS file for that in plugins/system/modalmessages folder. Or you may use a custom CSS file to override styles. Pretty easy.

Hi! First off, I LOVE this plugin, saved me loads of time. The only problem that I seem to be having now is that I am getting a "Not Authorized to view this resource" warning when an unregistered user lands on the homepage/index: http://helloworldbus...ants.com/hello/. The article is set to public and I wasn't receiving a normal joomla system error prior to plug in install, so I am not sure what could be causing the issue. Any help would be appreciated.

shell, I'm not sure, but looks like this message was suppressed on your site. Maybe it was hidden via CSS. But now it's visible, because my extension works directly with system message queue. I honestly have no idea, how this can be fixed. Maybe you should check article permissions one more time.

Got it. The article's category permissions were set to registered. :) You're the best. Thanks!

bolomsa, it's never been tested on Hikashop. Might be a template problem or not compatible at all. Try on clean Joomla/Hikashop install with default templates and see how it works.

Can't guarantee you that, since it's never been tested on Hickashop.

Completely reworked window template and different position calculation.

For now it disappears only on click and it's a proper behavior. Standard Joomla system messages stay with you forever as well. But yes, it is possible to add such an option of course.

what the hika said :

Hi,

Let's see it in a different point.

This plugin might be cool but it just not support things like "I display a message in a popup".

So, you can just remove this HikaShop "add to cart" notice popup which display a joomla message into (and which generates a nice cool error) or you can ask to the developer to support the fact that, in some context the best is not to override the official joomla message system.

It is clearly not complicated, just have to check the "tmpl=component" parameter and do nothing.

We are not the only extension in the world which display such message in a popup.

We use Joomla message and Joomla popup, we don't have any kind of specific implementation for it.

In our side we can't do anything and I don't think we do anything wrong too.

I am not saying that the other extension do it wrong but, for my point of view, there are some cases which are not right supported.

I don't want to be impolite or rude but I don't see want we can do for such problem and I don't want to blame for using Joomla native features.

Regards,

bolomsa, my guess, problem's with CSS. You should carefully check it with Firebug, for example, and find conflicting styles. Not that hard, if you know CSS a little.

bolomsa, I don't have any ETA for this, sorry. When I'll find time, I'll make an update and edit the description to inform about new feature.
